Jeff Mengis With over 20 years of investment experience, Jeff has successfully managed portfolios through three major market corrections and has significant tenure managing portfolios from $1 million to $10 million.  He began his career in 1987 at Black & Co., a Portland based investment banking and security research firm. In 1991, Jeff joined Charter Investment Group, where he was quickly promoted to Vice President.  In 1997, Sutro & Company acquired Charter Investment Group.  Jeff continued with Sutro as a portfolio manager where he developed the investment philosophy and approach that became the cornerstone for the firm he founded in 2001, Mengis Capital Management Inc.
